A5117 / A530 Deeside Park Junction Improvements
We’re helping to ease congestion and make journeys safer and more reliable around the border between North Wales and North West England.
Carillion is working with the Highways Agency and design partners Owen Williams on a £51m contract to improve a 5km section of dual carriageway between the A5117/A550 Deeside Park junctions and Junction 16 of the M56. Scheduled for completion in September 2008, the project also involves grade separation of three junctions at Woodbank, the A540 and the M56.
The scheme will significantly reduce congestion and delays along the route, while improving safety and providing improved associated facilities for equestrians and walkers. It has been designed to minimise environmental impact while still considering other essential factors, such as road safety, engineering design and cost.
